WINTER GREETINGS ART CONTEST GUIDELINES

THEME: Holiday/Winter Greetings
CONCEPT: Participants should submit artwork depicting holiday and/or winter scenes appropriate for the Women Center of Rhode Island's holiday appeal card. Entries that are inclusive of all religions and holiday celebrations as well as those that are non-denominational in content will be most favorably considered. Entrants should also consider that the Women's Center is an agency that promotes peace and non-violence.
CATEGORIES: Prizes will be awarded for Originality, Creativity, and Best Overall for each of the following categories of competitors: Ages 5-12, Ages 13-18, Ages 19-22, and Ages 22 & up.
CRITERIA: All 2-dimensional media will be accepted including but not limited to: photography, crayon, digital design, watercolor, marker, and colored pencil. Artwork should be no larger than 8.5" x 11" letter size, but may be presented either horizontally or vertically.
DEADLINE: Submissions should be received by October 23rd. Winners will be announced on October 31st. Each submission should have one completed and signed entry form affixed to the back.

PRIZES: Best of Show across ALL categories and age groups will be selected as the cover image for the Women's Center of Rhode Island's holiday appeal card sent to our mailing list of 3,000 people. Other exciting prizes including gift cards, movie passes and more will be announced soon!
JUDGES: Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline, 92 ProFM Morning Show Host Kim Zandy, Award-winning advertising group The Link Agency, RI School of Design painting professor Donna Bruton and graphic designer Edward Stahowiak.. More judges will be announced throughout the duration of the contest.
Please NOTE: Entrance into the competition grants the Women's Center permission to keep all entries and utilize them as images for our fundraising greeting card line and other promotional and publicity programs. Funds raised will be used to continue the Women's Center's efforts to end domestic violence. No entries will be returned.
