DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH 2006 PHONES FOR FUNDRAISING Do you have a used/unwanted cell phone that you would like to donate? We collect any and all cell phones of any age, make or model and in any condition. Please leave the phones only as we do not collect chargers, belt clips, or hands-free devices. Those items are not recycleable and will end up being thrown away. During the month of October please drop your cell phones off at the following locations: - Reflections Cafe at 8 Governor Street, located at the corner of Governor and Wickenden Streets in Providence. Business hours: Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Weekends: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. - RI School of Design Dept. of Public Safety location at 30 Waterman Street. - Brown University Dept. of Public Safety Communications Center at 75 Waterman Street in Providence. Business hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - Brown University Dept. of Public Safety Headquarters at 75 Charlesfield Street in Providence. Business hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - The following Starbucks locations will be collecting cell phones for WCRI in addition to other DV agencies:

Become a GOOD CORPORATE NEIGHBOR or COMMUNITY COLLECTION SPOT We also enlist local organizations to hold Good Corporate Neighbor Cell Phone Drives within their offices. These cell phone drives have helped us raise more than $5,000 in general operating funds in just two years! Are you a student who needs community service hours as a graduation requirement or who just wants to give back to the community? Shelter Alliance has set up a Community Service Program that rewards students 1 hour of community service for every 5 cell phones collected on our behalf. Click here to see how you can get involved!
